Why a Foundation?

The Evansdale Education Foundation was established in 2010 to partner with parents, administrators and teachers to support our beloved school in ways DeKalb County and the Evansdale PTA cannot.

We can fund staff and other vital school needs over and above what can be funded by DeKalb County and the PTA.

Recent investments include:

  • Annual subscription to Seesaw, a school-wide online communication and student portfolio platform (2020-2021)

  • Subscription to Little Sponges and Savio to support online French Dual-Language Immersion classes (2020-2021)

  • Transforming the school media center into a 21st Century Library (2019-2020)

  • Purchasing 80 Chromebooks to improve students’ access to technology (2019-2020 and 2018-2019)

  • Outfitting the school STEM lab with tables, storage and LEGO builder kits (2017-2018)

  • Supporting stipends for teachers to achieve Gifted and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) certification (2010-2019)

  • Support for a French-language proficiency exam which helped Evansdale achieve accreditation with the LabelFranEducation seal from the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2018-2019)

  • Resurfacing the school track (2017-2018)
