School Year 2017/2018:


  • Purchased 40 Chromebooks to power the technology behind the new Evansdale STEM lab

  • Provided support to establish a new STEM Committee represented by each grade level to help drive the practice and impact of STEM learning techniques in the daily classroom experience

  • Sent the new STEM Committee (Ms. Trapanese (1st), Ms. Bachman (Academic Coach and STEM Coordinator), Ms. Carnathan (3rd), Ms. Mr. Thomas (5th), and Ms. Beckstein (K) to the Georgia  STEM Forum in Athens, GA to bring best practices, and even free STEM resources and applications back into our classrooms

  • Purchased dry erase tables, furniture, Lego Early Simple Machine kits and storage needed to establish the new STEM Lab



  • Sent Ms. Craddock (Reading Early Intervention Specialist) and Ms. Sanchez (ESOL) to intensive Orton Gillingham training, the country’s most researched and proven approach for teaching struggling readers

  • Paid incentives to 4 teachers who received special Certifications such as Gifted or ESOL that enhance differentiated teaching techniques and engagement. Congratulations Ms. Petrucelli (Art), Ms. Nelson(Kindergarten), Ms. Jackson (2nd) and Ms. Minnitee (PreK).

  • Sent 4 teachers to Curious Classrooms training (focused on driving student engagement through teaching with student-directed inquiry)

  • Sent Ms. Petrucelli to the Technology Conference

  • Sent 3 teachers to Reading Instruction for ELL training




  • Provided critical maintenance and refurbishment of rubber mulch to the track
